For five years, I worked for a tutoring company that charged over $200 a session for my time. I LOVED my students, and I loved the flexibility, freedom, and efficiency of the 1-on-1 format, but I didn’t love hearing that parents couldn’t afford to purchase as many sessions as their students needed, and I definitely didn’t love knowing so much money went to company overhead.
These days, I’m delighted to be out on my own. You pay less, and I make more. I do business the way my father taught me, with transparency, consistency, and kindness.
